You can play it for free in your browser of choice, but the Steam Cloud save support, Steam Achievements, and it never being able to casually kill its own browser tab (and really the lessened chance of crashes in general, since browsers can be wonky), I'd say is definitely worth the 5 bucks. Not to mention it's nice to support the developer of a game I've literally played since high school.
