As someone who got gifted Unheard before tarkov came to steam, I recommend you just buy standard edition and/or PvE DLC.

Heres a few things of info I came across playing this:

-- PvE and PvP are separate progression where PvP wipes and PvE does not.
-- Better secure containers can be gotten through quests.
-- Stash upgrades can be done by upgrading your hideout stash.
-- The weapon building is chefs kiss.
-- Ammo penetration levels is extremely important to know.
-- Jaegers questlines are fun and great for new players.
-- PVE is a good escape from cheaters with a more relaxed experience.
-- Arena is ... a ... thing..

Maps have no uniqueness to them, it's just forests and towns and sometimes the same map with certain obstacles removed.
I was hoping for interesting locations like a carnival, underground lab or full proper swamp map areas that are fun and would actually have me WANT to replay specific acts.
Most characters are very bland and usually just insult each other except for the few where you learn more about them as you progress.

What I do like though:
The card decks are pretty good, they let you play to your strengths and fortify your weaknesses
The way attachments work is fine not being able to drop attachments means it'll make you enjoy keeping a weapon the whole act.

I feel mixed leaning on the side of not recommended.

Got the DLC for free but now all of a sudden it's been slapped with a price?
The price doesn't even justify the content and isn't even included in the Handsome Collection.

The best platformer I've played in a long time and the controls are so easy to use.
