This game is a complete and utter joke...that is if your definition of a joke is a game with an amazing storyline, unique gameplay, and a million different choices and paths to take. Unfortunately, when it all boils down to it, you get the same ending but still, you get to choose what friends you make, same goes with your enemies, not many games give you the luxury of the sort.

This may sound odd to some but, I also love the visuals/graphics/camera angles in this game, mostly because it takes me back to the Playstation 2 era. I remember playing alot of PS2 games that had hand drawn textures, just like this one.

The music is just...beautiful, very suspensful stuff, you don't usually find music like that in games anymore, thanks to the "crapstep" genre, just go listen to BF3 or 4's soundtrack and you'll see what I mean...

Overall, this game gets a solid 99/100 from me. Why the one missing point? Well, I uhhh...errrrr...sometimes the characters glitch out in cutscenes! Yeah, that's it!...

I honestly did not expect this game to be so much fun. Think Team Fortress 2, but with goats and dinosaurs in a World War II setting. I currently have nothing to complain about with this game because right off the bat everything feels balanced and there are no major bugs. The only way this game could be ruined would be if they pulled a valve and started adding hats. I'd really hate to start getting killed by a veloci-raptor wearing 20 fedoras.

Overall score? 96/100. TL;DR? Takes the first game > Adds a load of content to it > Continues the story from the last game > Adds in Multiplayer.

In-depth Review:

In the world of Third Person Survival Shooters, this game comes out on top for being both challenging and fun. However, much like the first game, I didn't find it to be all that scary like most people do. Sure, it had it's moments and my heart rate did occasionally jump up drastically in some situations, but overall I think the scare factor for this game, and the previous one is pretty low, but that's nothing I would take off points for.

The story line is pretty much what I expected (Oh noes, they made another marker and became obsessed with the crap because the alien signal told them to. Now Isaac has to go on another journey to destroy it. Sound Familiar?) but even with that said, they added in a few major plot twists and mysteries which made it about 100% more unique.

Re-playability also seems to be better, since there are 2 new difficulty levels, one of which only lets you save 3 times throughout the playthrough, and on top of that resets everything you worked for in the last playthrough, such as weapon and suit upgrades.

Graphics/Visuals haven't improved, but honestly, they didn't need to. I mean, I would have liked them to increase the texture quality on the characters and the various suits that Isaac wears, but It's no big deal.

Multiplayer in this game is also very unique and I would totally play it more, but unfortunately it's quite dead. It's almost impossible to get a full game going unless you have 7 friends to play with.

Much more realistic than the first game. Cars and trucks will pull out in front of you, not giving a single d4mn just like in real life. Plus the 'grafix" are highly improved, which makes the scenery more enjoyable to look at.

That's all I can say really. Other than being able to drive xXxMLGGN0sc0p3720ladderstallxXx trucks, there's not much else to do, but I knew that already and it's exactly why I bought it.

If I could drive all around the world in a totally MLG 720 no scopin' truck, I would totally do it all over again.

Basically, this is a giant commercial for Dota 2 in hopes of getting more people to play it. Even with that said, they have various Source Filmmaker scenes throughout the movie, which are pretty neat, and most of the background stories to the players were touching in a sense that I could relate to them. To be honest, I don't even like MOBAs but somehow this hour and a half long advertisement about one was fairly enjoyable.

Very entertaining stealth-based game that expands quite a bit on the previous game in the series, Splinter Cell Conviction.
If you have not played Conviction, then this review may or may not help you out too much.

AI, Movement, Weapons, Customization, Graphics, Optimization...It's all been vastly improved and edited. The AI notices when a teammate goes missing more often and they also remember when doors were suppose to be opened or closed. Movement has improved mostly for the realism side of things, you can't just crouch up to enemies anymore or else they'll be easily alerted. Quite a few weapons have been added from Conviction and there are plenty of new guns aswell. Not to mention each gun has about 20 different attachments. With that I move onto customization which to be honest reminds me of ATV Offroad Fury or MX vs ATV Customization mostly because you can choose each piece of your stealth suit you wanna wear which can either increase or decrease Armor or Stealth. Graphics quality is on the level of Battlefield 3 in my opinion, mostly because of the Shadows and the High-Res Textures that Conviction lacked. Lastly, this game is FAR more optimized than conviction. Playing maxed out with No AA @ 1440x900 gives me anywhere from 50-80 FPS. Conviction never got higher than 55 FPS when I played it last.

A few things I forgot to mention is that you can now either take out enemies lethally or non-lethally. You can also move bodies to different locations. Enemies now have new toys such as Tank Drones, which will drive up and self destruct on you if you get spotted by one. They also have Heavy Suits and basically it makes your enemies about as tough as a juggernaut in other games.

Alright, I've listed all the pros I can think of. Now it's time to list the cons.
Okay, here I go...*Inhales Deeply*
......
Uplay...It's garbage. Why does this even exist? Sorry, I can't list anything else bad about this game.

So...is it worth it to drop 60 bucks on this game? Which by the way has an 8 hour (approx.) campaign, coop, and a 4vs4 multiplayer gamemode that is absolutely the most unique gamemode I have seen in a very long time. Well, that's for you to decide, and hopefully I've eased your decision making process a bit.

TL;DR Edition: Great free roam game, lots of content, great graphics, decent story, great gameplay, decent realism, and decent AI.

When to buy: If you absolutely want this game and you're not willing to wait, then buy it. It's worth every penny. If you have time, wait for a steam sale and pick it up for 75% off.

The More In-Depth Review:

This is an absolutely amazing free roam experience.

Most people did not like Far Cry 2 because it was boring, and it was boring to those people because it was trying to be too realistic and it was repetitive. Despite that, I still loved Far Cry 2, and this game really just takes what Far Cry 2 had, and made it better in almost every aspect.

No more having to find a bus station in order to fast travel. No more running out of breath from running 15 meters. No more having to fight the mercenary island dwellers at any and every last turn, even when you just cleared the area out 5 minutes ago. Last but not least, your weapons will not wear out after having shot 3-4 mags worth of bullets.

I'm not trying to be for the whole "Needs less realism pls" thing though. I do think the game is rediculous in regards to skill upgrades and "super-power" herbs which I never use (except for the healing one ofcourse). Then there are missions where things just auto explode when you shoot at them, guess they had to cater to the CoD Kiddies.

The story is far better than what Far Cry 2 had aswell, and the main missions are far less repetitive. However, side missions such as those listed on the bulletin board are practically copy-pastas. Also, the ending(s) to Far Cry 3 are terrible In my honest opinion, feels like they rushed it, which I suppose isn't a problem considering the amount of content in this game.

Speaking of that, after having 21 hours played on SinglePlayer alone. I have beaten the main story and have done various things around the island. Still, I am just a bit pasted 50% completion. Oh sure that doesn't mean too much, but the time you put into 100% completion, jumping on coop and completing all the missions for that, and playing multiplayer. You could easily clock around 50 hours out of this game, which would be 60 cents per hour played. Even moreso if the multiplayer is decent (I'm not sure since I have yet to try it).

Now I'd like to talk about the thing that shouldn't ever be a factor in deciding how good a game is.
Graphics and physics.

It's been awhile since I've played Far Cry 2, but 3 definitely has better graphics in every aspect. A couple of turn offs though would be running into extremely low res textures in various parts of the island(s), another thing is that Far Cry 2 had MUCH better physics. Grass, plants, and alot of trees would react to you shooting them, running into them, or driving over them. In Far Cry 3, most plants, grass, and trees are completely static. I even did some google searching and it turns out Far Cry 2 had better physics in even more aspects than that. Then I found the reasoning behind this, Far Cry 2 has Nvidia Physx on at all times, even with AMD cards. They probably didn't implement it because the game is already graphic intensive enough as it is. Running everything maxed without AA and I'm getting anywhere from 30-45 FPS, Which is actually very playable, unlike other games such as Battlefield or Counter Strike.

Lastly, the AI in singleplayer could have been better. They like to not be able to see you until you're practically in front of them. When you fire a gun without a silencer though (sometimes even with a silencer) they will be able to see you practically across the island if need be. Then you'll occassionally see them drive off a bridge or cliff. I consider these issues minimal though since in a way it increases the fun factor (seriously, why even bother playing sneaky-beaky like when they already spot you as you come over a hill?).

Would not recommend to Hardcore DiRT fans. However, if you like Burnout and Need for Speed games, then you will most likely also like this. Despite the graphical downgrading they did, and some other minor bugs that most likely won't be fixed. I had a blast playing the Showdown Tour. Multiplayer is also quite fun, but it does take some time and effort to get into a game.
