Finally got around to this after sitting on it for two years...and oh boy. I'm still pretty much speechless after playing through this with both ending routes.

Phantom Liberty is a masterpiece in storytelling, coupled with gameplay improvements as a result of the 2.0 update and the new quest design they adopted in this DLC more or less delivering Cyberpunk at it's very best - or what they intended for it to be on release. It's so tightly designed, interwoven and well structured. As par the course for Cyberpunk as well, it's incredibly emotional, devastating, and will have you thinking about it for a long while afterwards. No matter your choices, no matter the outcome, there is no right answer. Bereft is probably the best word I can use to describe it, in the very best of ways: this mix of melancholy and nostalgia delivered through a hefty gut punch to the feels. If you've played through the base game, you'll know what I'm on about.

If you've yet to play Cyberpunk, or are returning a long time after release, you HAVE to get Phantom Liberty. You won't be disappointed, only prone to tears when you're done.

It's...phenomenal.

Seriously, you can tell this is a game made with love. Really captures the comfy Telltale magic from those days of yore; offering super heartfelt dialogues mixed with really well-delivered humour and a killer soundtrack to boot. There's some substantial gameplay with the dispatch part too, it's bloody good fun and I'd kill for a repeatable or infinite mode down the line.

If you're a fan of the older Telltale games and choice-based narratives, you definitely won't want to miss out on this one.

The game had just found its stride, then Amazon sweeps in and lays off their entire gaming division...entire New World team included.

RIP New World, was fun while it lasted.

Strong start, unfortunately lackluster post launch. A case of good gameplay marred by awful live service content dripfeeding. I do enjoy waiting several months for...one map, and limited time modes nobody will touch.

It's incredibly rare in this day and age that you find a fairly priced product that completely blows you away. From the gameplay, the music, to the characters and narrative, this game is truly phenomenal. GOTY easily, would highly recommend.

I have an extensive love-hate relationship with this game. Helldivers 2 is arguably the biggest example of the "it's so over" > "we're so back" cycle I've ever seen.

Gameplay loop is fun, and the fantasy of being a Helldiver is also fun. The stealth nerfs and constant bugs introduced every new update aren't. The devs are getting there but there's periods of time where they absolutely crap the bed, and other times where they're absolutely cooking. The new stealth rework and stealth missions are an example of that, they're really well designed and a nice breath of fresh air. At the same time, that's counterbalanced by the excessive number of paid warbonds filled with strategems when long, long ago they said they'd never do that. It's quite a hefty barrier of entry for a new player, as there's a lot of fun stuff you'll never be able to use without grinding for hours (not interesting or enjoyable in the slightest) or by forking over real world money.

If I could give this game a neutral rating I would, although for me it trends more towards negative based on what I've experienced playing since release. You'll have a good time for sure, but expect peaks and valleys.

A short and wonderful prelude to Life is Strange 2, full of warmth and much of the same music that tugs at the heartstrings. Would recommend!

Even more emotional devastation following the first, with bonus points for including some good ol' D&D. I absolutely love it.
