Game is great, but many gave negative review for just having Denuvo(which is gone now)

EDIT: I have to say. After playing more, this is becoming my favorite Sonic game. I have not yet completed it, but, after playing the first few zones, I absolutely love this game on how it gives you a sense of familarity in environment of the zone, but you dont know what to expect ahead because everything is different and made 100x better than what you would usually expect. Whitehead outdid himself

Better than Sonic Forces. Worth the money and get the Encore DLC! It adds more replayability with an additional characters with unique skill set

Yeah, it wasnt smart on their move. The devs hinted in their tweets that they didnt want Denuvo, but Sega made them to have it implemented. it is a shame because the game is absolutely amazing.

Yeah, Denuvo implementation seems to be bugged and instead of requiring to be online during first-time setup, if wants to be alway online.

Also wasn't the smartest move by SEGA to not disclose additional DRM before launch...

Turns out some people just dont have good internet and cant online always or they want to play it on their laptop where there is no wifi

I'll never understand people complaining about anti-tamper (that can potentially lock you out of one single game) on a DRM platform, such as Steam (that can potentially lock you out of every game).

Well, i kinda get it, DRM is always bad, but i just don't get the double-standard here.
