This is a cute and chill little game. However, in all honesty I cannot recommend it as it is TOO chill - it's hardly a game at all.
There's nothing to do, no reward for active play, no reason to keep the game open, basically no upgrades, no quests aside from the tutorial, and no story.
You can feed your fish to make them grow faster, but the EXP this gives the fish is so minuscule it's not worth it. Also, the adult fish (which can't grow any more and just give passive income) mob your cursor for the food only baby fish can eat.
As a simulation/desktop tank it's not great either. The fish swim around, but they don't seem to have different behaviours besides the snails, which are slow and stay on the bottom. The decorations are also very expensive so you won't be able to do any customisation for weeks of real time. There's also not many decorations, so you'll be looking at the same thing for a long time.

A charming, beautiful, and fun game. The characters were very cute. The puzzles were interesting and some of them were incredibly clever! I really appreciated how this game respects the player's time and doesn't have anything too punishing, unfair, or non-fun. Really would recommend even at full price :)

A delightful and charming little game that I've become curiously addicted to.
I love the coins. I want to eat them.

Very addicting. I purchased this with the intent of playing it a little in my downtime. I've ended up wasting a few evenings...

A really nice, cute, and fun little game - a chill afternoon's entertainment. I enjoyed the characters and the fishing. Looking forward to a sequel, perhaps? ^-^

This game has a lot of potential. Everything looks nice, I appreciate the smooth animations for the dragons, and there needs to be more games centred around dragons.
However, I have some feedback on the game as it stands:

- It takes an awful amount of time to get anywhere, even riding your dragon.
- It's difficult to tell what's something you can click on, and what's background stuff. Could the training places and village shops be highlighted when you hover over them?
- It would be nice to be able to sell unwanted food back to the food seller
- I seem to be unable to battle? My only attacking move is "Headbutt", which requires me to be behind the enemy. I move one tile to start getting behind them, and they move one tile to block me.
- It takes a long time to read the manual. In-game time should be paused while you're reading.

I got this game for like sixty pence, seeing as it looked so interesting. I knew it wasn't (and will never be) finished, but you get what you pay for I guess.
It's very cool, but impossible to actually find where the questgivers send you. After running around for ages and not finding anything, I gave up.

Not fun. I'm not happy that you have to buy other games to unlock the coolest animals and there's no other way to get them. Things cost too much essence and there doesn't seem to be much to do in the game.

This is a lovely little game, and I am having a lot of fun. It is delightful and casual, and the upgrades are well-thought out to cost a slightly challenging amount, but not too expensive (requiring a lot of grinding).
My only gripes with the game is that when rotating furniture, it is difficult to get objects exactly vertical or horizontal, if you prefer.

Slime rancher is a very fun game, and I've enjoyed the time I've spent playing it. The graphics are wonderful, the slimes are adorable, and it's easy enough to just pick up and play for an hour or so at a time, without the need to make a massive comitment to the game.
That said, at the current time there isn't really much to do. I have explored all the regions. I have some corrals filled with slimes, and the assorted farms to feed them. I have unlocked the Lab, but I feel no desire to continue with it, as it does not seem to add much to the gameplay.
All in all, I would say it is worth buying now for a fun thing to play for a few hours, and then coming back to when they've added more stuff.
