Everything about this game is great. I had my doubts with all the negative reviews you know "wait to buy" or what not. The server issues are mainly due to maybe a lot of people playing from far off countries. I bought it on a whim and being the drought of fighting games (as a fan of fighters) that are fun to pick up and easy to play and gives depth is great.

I've had plenty of fantastic matches that felt as if I could react to them and win with skill. This game offers the technical depth that a fighting game of other caliburs maybe don't use. There is a certain simplicity to the mechanics yet the amount of moves at your disposal and the unique dark souls style overworld (when you're not queing for 1v1 PvP that is) is interesting. I've had a lot of fun interactions with other players. Running around the world is fun at least.

As a fan of Godhand, this game really gives me satisfaction in creating an intricate fighting style to absolutely destroy my opponents or have intense stand offs with worthy adversaries. The art style and character design to me screams Zeno Clash.

My only gripes is the story segment whilst actually pretty decent for a game of it's price point (32.99CAD) that i'm sure was primarily focused on polished combat (which it succeeds in) so I can't bash too hard on the overworld. I sort of like the idea of learning new moves from blocking/dodging/parrying your opponents moves and the only way to gain exp is to overcome your opponent and defeat them. This tribalistic melee free for all game is just cool on all sorts of levels.

Never played For Honor but the melee combat caught my intrest, this game is it on crack. So what you want to just be a prospect or are you man enough to become an absolver?
