A sniper game that I think is quite good, a series that brings sniper games with a wide map. I can kill Hitler from anywhere.

The Good:

I at first played through the game solo on the Sniper Elite difficulty, because thats what I would recommend, besides maybe turning off the minimap ontop of that. I had a good time playing that. Ontop of that I did a run in co-op with a Buddy on Authentic Plus difficulty, which was significantly harder, but doable when played in co-op. We had lots of fun together, but I feel like quite a bit of that was just having fun with a friend.

You have tons of options of how to kill enemies, you can play the game slow or quick, or both depending on how your environment reacts to your actions, which is a big positive for me.

The graphics are good for 2017, BESIDES the issues I am pointing out below.

The kill cam shots look nice for the first 100 times or so, but get a bit stale afterwards, good you can turn them down in the menu.



The Bad:

The german voicelines are EXTREMELY over the top. No german would ever talk like that. It sounds a bit like wannabe voice actors got the job to voice act them.

I encountered it multiple times that an enemy was running into a wall instead of coming to me, repeatedly, without stop until I killed him.

On both AMD and NVIDIA GPUs (n=1+1) the anti-aliasing doesnt seem to work properly in the game, it seems like it doesnt even do anything, even if I force it on in my GPU, no idea. I had to play at 2x render scale (1440p being my native res) to not make it awful all the time, it still shimmered and looked bad plenty of times. I still encountered a lot of visual glitches and whatnot in the game, sadly.

When running away from where you are trying to throw stones the animation will be broken completely.

Subtitles in cutscenes are completely wrong - very different from what is actually said. You can't switch off the subtitles in cutscenes either, even though there is an option in the settings, it does nothing.

One time in a mission that is bundled with the base game I encountered an enemy that spawned in the ground and that could shoot me from there, but I couldnt shoot him back.. Same happened in the last DLC mission, enemy spawned in a place you couldn't shoot him at, but he could shoot you.

Overall the german translation of text in the game is god awful.

Like so often, I would like to give it a neutral rating, but I can't, since I had fun, I'll give it a recommended, but not happily.

i have just 8 hours on this game and i completed it... it was repetetive, little bit boring... i would not recommend it. However, the kill animations were sick.
