Good all by itself, but with a cold glass of wine and a tiny bit of weed this thing is INCREDIBLY relaxing. really a magical little thing.

Pure serotonin. This is exactly the City Builder game I've been trying to buy for the last 15 years.

I've been keeping an eye on this game since release and finally thought it was time to give it a go and see if it was more my idea of a city builder.

I've tried a lot of "city builder", and adjacent games, but this one is far more my preference than a lot of what I've tried recently. It feels much more laid back and enjoyable, a strong focus on design and layout but still requiring some level of strategy to keep your citizens happy.

The game itself is beautiful, taking a more simple style but still at any angle my city looks stunning. I think a large part of this is how light functions, and it just is truly satisfying.

The price of the game definitely took me back a little bit, especially for an Early Access game. And at first, when I saw there were only 2 "story" mode areas I was genuinely put off by the price. But, upon finding all the sandbox maps I am so glad I did pay what I did. There's so much care put into the game, it's charming and I'm glad I have bought the game. Even if the updates are slow to roll out, two towns on the same map won't be the same. You'll layout things differently and think about what you want to do differently.

My hopes for the game aka my wish list would include:
1) Definitely optimizations for late game. I have a decent PC but after maybe 600 citizens I start to feel the lag, and 800+ becomes very difficult to run if I even click on a warehouse.
2) Custom pre-set houses & buildings! Once you get after you first 30 odd houses, I don't want to sit and place lights on each one and then the next, and the next. It'd be great if we could save a layout of lights and decorations for placing structures. -- I didn't realise that this was doable with the copy function so please disregard <3 Instead, would love the ability to create lakes and edit the shape of existing ones/build on to them with platforms of some sort?
3) An undo button.
