Shay Patrick Cormac is the antihero of my childhood!

Assassin’s Creed Rogue tells the story of Shay Patrick Cormac, a young and skillful Assassin who begins to question his Creed. After a mission for his mentor, Achilles, results in a massive tragedy with many innocent lives lost, Shay becomes disillusioned by how careless the Assassins have become. Seeking to protect the world from further catastrophe, he joins the Templars to stop his former brothers.

This isn't the first game to show us that the Assassins aren't always right, but it is the first where you actually switch sides and fight against your former Brotherhood. I loved this concept and hope for future AC games that focus on "grey" morality rather than just simple revenge plots.

The main drawback is that Rogue was released at the same time as AC Unity. Because of this, it felt like it received less attention from the developers. I wish they had pushed the graphics further and used the story to show more of the Templars' daily routine and training through Shay’s eyes.

If you are a fan of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, I highly recommend playing Rogue. It offers a fantastic story and a refreshing change of perspective.
