Did anyone solve this problem? I cannot load the game.

Really excited to play the new update, but on re-downloading the game my save data is blank.... I hadn't played on PC in a while but this is the same machine same SSD same OS same everything really. I understand it doesn't have cloud backup but shouldn't it just open the local file? Any tips for recovery would be appreciated...
