welp, this is a good game

Endless Legend is the 4X game I keep coming back to despite swearing I'll take a break — the faction variety alone is worth the price, with each one feeling genuinely distinct rather than just a reskinned civilization. The combat system threw me off at first with its initiative-based order resolution, but once it clicked I found myself planning battles several moves ahead in a way Civ never really demanded. The questlines, city district sprawl, and multiple victory paths give it a depth that makes most other 4X games feel shallow by comparison. Just make sure to grab the community patch before diving in, and don't be like me and spend 20 hours not realizing you can equip items on regular units. Highly recommended, especially if you can grab it on sale.
