Bought this on Steam expecting to launch the game and play.
Instead it silently installed Ubisoft Connect and refused to start unless I created a separate Ubisoft account and logged in.

I should not have to make a third-party account for a single-player game I already paid for. If I purchase a game on Steam, it should run through Steam. Period.

Forced launchers, extra DRM, and account requirements are anti-consumer and completely unnecessary.

Refunded and uninstalled.

If you don’t want publisher bloatware or extra accounts on your PC, avoid this.

Good game, bad co-op. If you're interested in a fleshed-out single player experience, this game would be a solid 7/10. The co-op on the other hand, is about as bad as a Far Cry game. A majority (all?) of the collectibles, you can't collect unless you're the host. It disincentivizes the co-op player from exploring, and more or less puts the host on a linear path because your partner doesn't want to make you watch them grab something for the 30th time. It means if you want to develop your character in a meaningful way, it has to be done in single-player. It's like that spongebob meme where squidward is watching everyone play outside, if squidward was outside with them, yet still unable to play.

I do recommend this as a solo game, I don't recommend the co-op.

A typical Ubisoft experience. After two hours of gameplay and reviewing additional footage, it’s clear this is essentially Far Cry with a few 'unique' skins layered on top. While the world-building and visual fidelity are breathtaking, aesthetics alone don't justify the price tag. I expected more depth; unfortunately, it’s a classic case of style over substance.
