Another amazing game from the Duck Detective, wonderful cast of charaters and an engaging mystery. Nothing new about the game play mechanics but it's just as fun as the first game. There is a slightly larger area to play with and there seemed to be a lot more side stories this time around. It's not a long game but it's a fun time.

Chasing Ghosts and New Friends

Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping is the sequel to Duck Detective: The Secret Salami. Going into the sequel, I was expecting the same level of consistency in how the cast of characters interacted with each other, as well as how the game made its detective like puzzles just difficult enough for the player to want to try and solve the puzzle on their own. On this front, I can happily say that I was blown away.

Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping, while short. Clocking in at the 2-3 hour mark for full achievement unlocks, was a great evolution from the first Duck Detective game. In Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping, you reprise your role as the titular Duck Detective. The Duck Detective, now roommates with Freddy Frederson, a side character from the first game, all decide to go on a trip to a glamping spot. For those who have played Duck Detective, the controls, and game mechanics of having conversations and finding clues to fill out deduction sentences remains the same. Basically how the whole game plays remains the same in the sequel. But this time around, the cast of characters that are introduced to the player made me way more invested in seeing future sequels to the Duck Detective series. Without spoilers, Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping introduces a whole new cast of fun, and interesting characters each with their own quirks and behaviors. But the difference that I found to be way more refreshing to me, was that this time around, interactions between the cast of characters and the Duck Detective is way more relaxed and natural. In the first Duck Detective game, the cast of characters. While lovable, were also archetypes of people who work in an office. Which made a lot of interactions with the cast of characters seem very professional at times. The sequel however takes a different approach and makes interactions between the cast of characters more personal, going into interesting topics while having more personality in dialogue and conversations. Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping presents an evolution in writing style and character personality, while still managing to make the deduction and detective systems still feel fresh and fun, and clocking in at a 2-3 hour completion time also makes it a great game to just jump into on a weekend. But that would probably be my only criticism this time around. Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping is too short, and left me wanting this game to be longer due to how great the cast of characters were this time around. Happy Broccoli Games has knocked it out of the park again with a stellar sequel and continues on delivering quality games that make me want to see more of what they can do.

Short but really fun. Decently challenging but not to the point of breaking your brain. Great writing and voice actors, fantastic characters. I actually liked this one even more than the first!

Also I got rickrolled twice...once in each game. Really hope to see a 3rd game come out in the near future because I will buy it immediately.
