I go up in the air to avoid the energy ( crap ? ) but can't stay up for long.

The other guns are kinda pointless. the damage output isn't that noticeable and the base gun has the furthest range besides the trash gun, which I hate... Not a complaint but it just defeats the purpose of monies and other weapons if they are useless compared to the starting weapon + magic...
