I am begrudgingly giving this game a positive review. Solely on the fact, that the pixel art for this game is masterclass. I have played tens of pixel art games- dead cells, enter the gungeon, TBOI, you name it. This game has the best pixel art out of any game I have ever played. Every area looks screenshot worthy.

However, the art is all the game really has going for it. I have tried to complete this game for two years off and on, but I really cannot put myself through playing anymore of this. this is my first ever JRPG, and I just find the genre boring. The combat is not engaging enough to make the game any fun, even though they added in aspects to make it more engaging. The story is alright, but if 'alright' is all the game has, then its just going to be an 'alright' experience.

Simply just not my type of game, I'm sure someone else will enjoy this, just not me.
