I've considered Freebird Games a master at crafting compelling story-driven games because I really loved To the Moon and Finding Paradise.

So I had high expectation when playing their other game, Impostor Factory.

Sadly, I didn’t enjoy this game as much as the two previous ones. Full review below 👇.



In term of gameplay, I’m a bit disappointed because, unlike the two previous games, this one feels a bit too monotonous & relies too much on the story element.

No puzzle involved.
No random combat involved.

(It’s not a huge issue, but it does feel like a downgrade.)

One improvement, however, is that finally there's a button to RUN instead of just walking.



I respect the developer trying to change things up by starting strong with a murder mystery concept.

However, I think the execution could have been much better. I dont know how to explain it but it gets boring quickly.

Other than that, I did enjoy the romantic moments between the characters.


The overall story was a bit too complex for me to fully understand, to the point that I had to Google what was actually happening. (Maybe I just lose focus while playing)

I also felt that some of the themes & concepts are a bit repetitive and redundant with the previous games.

Personally, I didn’t enjoy the overall story as much as I had hoped.

To The Moon & Finding Paradise have a huge emotional impact on me, but this game....not so much.



I actually have mixed feeling about this game, but if I had to choose, I would still recommend it.

It doesn’t match the standard set by the previous two games, but it does expand the story from previous games, so I’ll give it that.

That said, I strongly recommend playing To the Moon and Finding Paradise first before jumping into this one.

Really lovely! Like the dev's other games, there's a great story to follow and a lot to think about at the end. Would highly recommend!
