FAITH absolutely floored me — I went in skeptical of the Atari-style graphics but came out genuinely unsettled in a way most modern horror games fail to achieve. The rotoscoped cutscenes are jarring and brilliant, and the sound design does things that high-budget games can only dream of. What really got me was how the game portrays evil not as something cheap and jumpy, but as something deeply depraved and staining — every demon encounter felt like losing a little bit of innocence. The story goes surprisingly deep for what looks like a retro curio, and by Chapter 3 I was fully invested in John Ward's journey. Fair warning: the movement is painfully slow and some boss fights can frustrate, but push through because the payoff is worth it. One of the most genuinely unsettling horror experiences I've had in years — Gary loves you.

Mortis

I really expected more. don't get me wrong, I like the style and the atmosphere, but the only way to progress the story is by reading a bunch of notes and I'd rather just read a book instead. the gameplay lacks HEAVILY, but I guess the story does make up for it.

TLDR: extremely boring but cool, story is more "tell don't show" than "show don't tell".
