Opened Steam to see that there was an update queued without patch notes. What was introduced in this update?

So, just finished the game and was wondering if there are other endings to be unlocked in NG+ or anything. It was a solid ending to a good game but, damn, that was really sad and kinda sudden. Is it possible to save Joanna or, at least, punch that smug smirk out of Master's face? And I thought the game was going somewhere with Doctor Bog, the "traitors" and the aliens but that whole plot felt like it was suddenly scrapped and everything becomes "STOP EVE" even though it's not really clear why ...

I have the triple jump and the mysterious item but it seems I'm just a little short of reaching the platform. Is there an item I'm missing that can extend the length of jumps or reset my jumps mid air? Thanks in advance

what is ex mode? why did they post it? Where do I find it or what do I do to activate it?????? I had already completed all the achievements of this game and now I get 12 more XD
