This is basically an old school Final Fantasy game (except action combat) with a light farming minigame attached.

There are social links to progress but they are all handled though narrative quests, not grinding repeatable activities.

The writing is pretty strong - a lot of crazy stuff happens in the main story but the sidequests are much more grounded and deal with identity, family, etc.

Combat is ok-ish with everything being a bit loose but it gets the job done.

Overall the game is great and I would like to hang out for about 20 minutes with whatever PR person put 'life-simulation' in the description. You must be the coolest person ever and have constant excitement to come up with that.
