Lunistice is a weird one for me, as someone who adores 3D platformers. On the one hand, it's not asking a lot. It's 5 bucks. There are a couple hours of gameplay (more if you want to find every collectible and do the time/no deaths challenges). On the other hand, even in that short time, it overstayed its welcome. The level design is okay and ranged from boring to a little frustrating at the end. The controls and mechanics are nowhere near as tight at the developer thinks they are, which is most apparent in the last few levels. I felt like I finished the game out of obligation because I paid for it instead of enjoyment. I have no desire to play more to 100% all the collectibles and challenges, which is something I've cherished doing in dozens of other platformers. So, considering this was only two hours, and I didn't enjoy half of it, I really can't recommend this one, though I do appreciate the retro vibes and anyone willing to make a platformer in this day and age.

A solid PS1-esque platformer, there are a few levels where the level design clashes a bit with the rest of the design sensibility or the core gimmick gets a bit frustrating, but it mostly feels pretty good to take on these platforming challenges.

A charming platformer with wonderful level design and just enough difficulty to make me want to 100% all achievements without fear of getting bored or frustrated. The graphics are wonderfully reminiscent of the Nintendo 64 and really made me feel a sense of nostalgia. I couldn't recommend this game enough!
