Through his keen interest in preserving a photographic record of the history of Boulder, Colo., Martin R. Parsons helped to lay the foundation for an excellent collection of photos of Boulder from the 1860s on into the 20th century. He saved thousands of Joseph Sturtevant photonegatives from destruction and bequeathed them to the Boulder Historical Society, as an article in the Boulder Daily Camera (9 Sept. 1966) recounts.
