libmimedir is a gobject-based implementation of RFC 2425 (MIME Directory
Profile) and related RFCs like RFC 2426 (vCard MIME Directory Profile).

Please see the file INSTALL for generic installing instructions.

This project contains two major source directories: mimedir contains the
library code, while bin contains some test and utility programs.

The 0.3 branch of libmimedir is API and ABI incompatible to earlier versions
of libmimedir. The API is guaranteed to stay stable in all 0.3 version. No
major new features will be introduced during the 0.3 series, also there
might be slight API enhancements.
