I solved the problem. 1) Use GIMP to pick the input PEN. This seems to activate the device 2) Change mouse to right-handed (I was using left handed) mouse. Thanks

I have a fresh install of Mint 18.3-Mate on a 2017 X1-Yoga gen 2. I can use my fingers to scoll. I can also use to mouse to mark a pdf. But I cannot use the Pen Pro to write on the pdf, nor can I draw using Xournal. https://www3.lenovo.com/us/en/accessories-and-monitors/pens-and-supplies/pens/TAB-ACC-BO-ThinkPad-Pen-Pro-3/p/4X80K32539 I installed kernel driver, X driver, and libwacom as suggested by the download page. I don't see anything in control panel about wacom. Do I need to manually turn on...
