I'm sorry, but I searched log files in portable miktex folder, only found 4 log files: initexmf.log, mkfntmap.log, fc-cache.log, texworks.log And there was nothing about updating FNDB in these files. Today, I started TeXworks again, and also I needed to wait for a long time. Afterwards I searched fndb files in portable miktex folder, and found 4 FNDB files. But the latest modified times are the time I first running portable miktex, Not the time of today. Please see the following screenshot. I think...
