Thank you for Choosing RayTrace Make sure you have Sun's Java2 version 1.3 installed on your computer. RayTrace has not been tested on any other java compiler. To get the latest version of Java checkout sun's web site: http://java.sun.com To run RayTrace simply type: java -jar RayTrace.jar Some sample .bmp files and scene files (.db) are included in the jar file. To extract all of the files in the jar file type: jar xf RayTrace.jar All of the code as well as code documentation is in the html files included in the jar file. This is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute it under certain conditions; see gpl.html for details. If you have any comments or suggestions please write to the author at mcourtne199@yahoo.com. I'm interested in keeping track of how many people are using RayTrace. Please e-mail me at mcourtne199@yahoo.com with your version number of RayTrace and any comments or suggestions. In return I will notify you of any changes or updates. Currently known bugs: -Only one light source allowed in a scene. -Gui doesn't display the scene exactly the same way the final ray traced image looks. Objects further back in a scene look bigger in the gui than they do in the final image. -Some bmp files created by RayTrace have errors in them that keep them from being opened in certain programs.
