I'm using the portable version, but every time I update I lose my playlist and I have to re-write them. How can I keep my lists even if I update the program?

Excellent Project, meets all the expectations expected as a user. I would like to know if the project is capable of adapting to new functionalities, perhaps to increase the playback speed. And please help me with the repository, I would be interested to know how you are working. Very interesting project !.

The BEST media player, however...it crashes when I try to share the video thru Discord. Also, it would be nice to have a shortcut to toggle between Video Frame settings. I use Normal Size 1080p videos and Double Size for 480p videos. And also, being able to triple, quadruple, etc, would be nice for 4K and 8K monitors and TVs. Therefore, instead of my suggested toggle, I would rather suggest just an easy way to multiply the resolution. Maybe by pressing the number keys?

Amazing Player ...

Simple to use and Powerful

Frustrating, same mpc problem. >mpc-be crashes; >windows looking for solutions; >doesn't play videos anymore; Just that re-registering the codecs doesn't work anymore, if you need to keep hoping it never crashes, it's better to use another player. Reinstall the program, reinstall codecs, restart the pc, it's not acceptable in 2021, it crashed, okay, close the program window and when you open the next video it has to work.

Hands Down Best Media Player !!! Used Alot of other players, but MPC-BE is on the top of my list. I Thank You Very Much to everyone involved, and I truly appreciate all your hard work !!!

I want to decide the setting value of the speed step "automatic" by myself. Currently, it is 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, 2.0, 4.0, 8.0, 16.0 ... I use speed changes a lot.

Thank you so much for continuing work on MPC! It's the best and most reliable media player I've ever used.

Outstanding player when it comes to playing single videofiles (.avi, mp4, mkv, etc.) There is an issue when playing DVD chapters(!) from HDD. It will start the DVD and shows the main menu, with titles. However, when selecting a title, MPC-BE hangs ('not responding'), instead of showing the subsequent chapters. Needed to 'kill' it using the Windows' Task Manager. Tried this a number of times. Note: VLC portable, after selecting the title, does show the chapters and I could play any chapter. FWIW: MPC-HC (v1.9.8.x64) has the same issue, not showing chapters.

MPC-BE has no equal. It works as well as it looks.

MPC-BE is IMHO (with MPC-HC) the best video player we have on Windows enviroment if someone search a slim, fast and reliable tool to play videos with high quality and respect to the standards. Low memory footprint, fast opening and seeking, good online streaming video support, possibility to use different video renderes: EVR, madVR, the new MPC video renderer, EVR custom presenter. The player has also its own decoders ffmpeg based. Sure, there are other players with some more functions, but we have to remember that here we are in the Open Source World with non paid developers. The support, as said, is very good.

If you used any of the previous incarnations of MPC, this project continues on the great work you would come to expect. The biggest thing that has impressed me about this project however is the quality of the support provided. The speed with which bug reports get responded to and worked through in the ticket system is unreal. Hats off to the developer aleksoid for being a true professional

Best video player IMO. Youtube dl integrated feature was the major Boon for me. Keep doing good work devs , hope u do not have to quit like mpc-hc team!

Excellent work! I use it for watching SDR/HDR movies on TV streaming from PC via HDMI.

Great player! easy to use, works very good, not to heavy. The only thing i'm missing, is a linux version. Is there any chance to see a linux version? unfotunately none of the players available in linux is as good as this one.
