MMOWGLI is a message-based game to encourage innovative thinking and collaboration by many people, connected via the Web. It has been used to study a number of topics... starting in 2021 and beyond.

Years of funded support by Office of Naval Research (ONR) and more than a dozen additional sponsors has produced a robust tool that can be applied to many different group challenges.

Features

  • Java using MySql database with Hibernate bindings, Vaadin graphical user interface (GUI), Lucene search engine, plus 30 additional open-source libraries.
  • Compiled code produces game server which runs under Apache http, Tomcat servlet container. Tested under CentOS Redhat.
  • Clients connect to MMOWGLI server, receive HTML/Javascript, can play in any Web browser.
  • Mobile version allows read-only access, further improvements are planned.
  • Standalone server builds are precompiled and available without charge separately.
