It sounds great and interesting from what the author says it can do. Once installed, no idea what to do with the music files or other files I want to catalogue. Tried all possible combinations and options in the menus.
Not an intuitive program and no tutorials available on how to get started, the manual is not enough for this task.

Great software with a great developer. Answers support questions quickly, clearly and even takes user suggestions seriously. In my experience with FOSS this is often uncommon. I am using this as a replacement for OpenDB and it is an easy switch.

Clean, extensible architecture. Good potential.

I've been playing around with Access trying to get a set up I liked for home inventory, but never quite got what I was looking for. This looks to be just the ticket.

Worth checking out. However, be warned; it's in java; drags on my 9 year old WindowsXP system. For a java app, though, it's as polished as I've seen any. The interface is crazily unintuitive. It is, however, very customizable. The good points: A great effort; I've been looking for a decent cataloger for almost a decade now, and never have the time to code my own; if I did, it'd likely be very similar to this one. The 'group by' functionality is very, very useful, as is the multi-tier sorting.
