the briss is very good ,it simple and fast, i like use it with kindle paperwhite, It can help me to show pdf file in my kp prefect simplly. thanks lot to author of this program!

***** WARNING *****:
I used this tool to crop non-confidential information, and created a new document. The new pdf file doesn't show the leftover confidential parts.
Happy with the results I E-mailed the file.
To my horror, I just realized that when I print the cropped document, the confidential parts are still there and are printed out!!
I have just released very sensitive and confidential information!
Why are there no warnings about this!?
Is this a software bug?

I used this to crop a 721 page pdf that had black margins on the left and right sides. It worked excellent and made the pdf much easier to read. I highly recommend it! Also I want to respond to the person complaining about it not having an installer. It really doesn't need one since it's java. Everything is in the folder you just have to execute.

I registered a SourceForge account just to respond to the current "Most Helpful" negative review and point out that briss only made obvious the improper redaction of Viking2ev's pdf and that the fault lies entirely on him/her (i.e the sensitive information was still in the "redacted" pdf fed to briss and it merely removed the illusion of security). Also, the application is super-handy for making pdfs more readable on my Kindle.

I find this program very lacking. It lacks an installer, it lacks one-click startup, and it lacks a the feauture to run from a PDF file's context menu.

Brilliant fast and simple. I used for extract / split / crop A4 sized pdf containing two A5 pages. I wanted to split each pages to two pages. Not obvious to understand the logic how selection works but worth the time. A had to select TWO rectangle on the first page and other TWO rectangle on the second page below it. Then it generates two pages from each pages. It is amazing fast! Regards, R

Works great, thank you for programming it. I was able to understand why some pages should be excluded. What I do not understand is how to reorder rectangles (to make nr 1 nr 2 etc); for now, I simply selected them and moved them around.

I found briss is a very usefull tool. I love the ability to find a ideal cropping o splitting page using overlapped pages. Thanks with this and pdfshuffler and pdftk, I can do almost everything with PDF and created optimized document to load on my 9.7 inch ebook reader

can confirm Viking2ev's warning! cropped the black edges of a scanned book. looks fine in the foxit reader, but some parts still have the black edges when printed out! very strange!

Great tool, works very weel. Good improvoment would be to get there a ruler to be able set same margins for odd and even pages. What is not good, copped PDF lost internal links which has been in original document.

Nice tool to crop PDF-pages, but GUI is too basic. I wished to have the possibility to enter margins, to mirror selections from even to odd pages and to keep aspect ratio of a selection.
