Problems with Grub, Time and Virtualbox

I have problems using this great Salient Linux OS with XFCE. I am running my PC with Linux Mint on one partion and Salient OS on the other. I thought I would try Salient because it would give me an opportunity to work and explore the ARCH system. And, so far it lives up to that. I am not a game player, so I just use it rather than Windows 10. I have distro hopped to other OS's but the two I am using now fit me very well. I feel having a Debian/Ubuntu and an Arch system gives me security.

1. I can't seem to get the Conky time to show local non-utc time, althought clock on panel is good.

2. I can't get Virtualbox to run without giving me the dreadth RCV1908 error. I use the one that can with the Salient OS and eventually
   deleted it and tried installing the version from the repositories. That gave me the same errors.

3. I can't run Grub Customizer without it giving me an error when I try to save. I copied all the directories/folders that I think would matter.
   And, have a text file with the system information and message I got when trying to update grub.

Any assistance you can render would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
