Recorded file is purple
Status: Alpha

When I record something, the video is tinted purple. That's basically all I can say about this, it happens even when "outline capture area on screen" is deactivated.
The attached video is 1fps on purpose. I recorded on my Raspberry Pi.
Settings are default except:
Audio recording off
1fps
"outline capture area on screen" off (also happens with it on)
Raspbian on Raspberry Pi 3.
Can reproduce on Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB)
This software has been abandoned, and nobody has reached out to the original maintainer. There is a fork of the software that has been recently updated at https://github.com/vcaputo/recordmydesktop . You can use https://github.com/vcaputo/recordmydesktop/issues/1 as a collaboration point to figure out the best place to find bugfixes.

Hi!
The project has now been officially migrated to GitHub. I posted News about it here: https://sourceforge.net/p/recordmydesktop/news/2020/12/project-moved-to-github/
I have copied this bug report to the new place:
https://github.com/Enselic/recordmydesktop/issues/22
Btw @xloem, I reached out to you via mail!

Martin, that's great news that maintainership of this software is continuing.
so you know, I searched my inbox for "enselic" and "nordholts" and this bug thread is the only mail I'm aware of having from you.
Hi @xloem!
My apologies, at first I thought you were the person behind the forked git repo, but maybe you were just referring to it? (I sent the mail to the person who makes commits to that project.)
Sorry for any confusion I caused!
I'm closing this issue now, let's continue discussing in GitHub!
right, not my fork, just trying to keep open source alive. maintainers are a huge point of failure for open source projects.
