to ixasilent: i had the same problem and I have followed these instructions http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/forum/index.php/topic/23413-upgrade-to-3-7/page__pid__85127__st__0&#entry85127__s__f0e3e9259c3c26295bc4da6897e81c31 and to fix this issue i had to delete "platform" directory before building war file
