Software support engineer - telecommuting Job description Reporting to the management team, you will provide customer support for all our software products. You will be making sure that our prospective and existing customers on the 5 continents are getting the best level of service possible as they deploy our technology. You might have to assist in various projects such as software testing, systems administration, release management, infrastructure/process design and deployment and documentation. Candidate profile: * Good troubleshooting skills * Good interpersonal skills * Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken) * Self starter * Any experience as a support/test/network engineer or systems administrator will be valued * Knowledge of one or more foreign languages a plus * Curiosity, interest in emerging technologies and a willingness to learn * Adhere to process and culture, team player Required Skills: * Ability to work unsupervised for long periods of time * Knowledge of Unix/Linux (Centos, RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows command-line * Knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Perl * Knowledge of any of the following technologies a plus: SQL databases, telephony, VoIP protocols, networking, Apache Tomcat, Web technologies, Java, intrusion detection systems, packet monitoring * Knowledge of one or more foreign languages apart from English would be a plus Conditions: * European, Asian or US PST timezones preferred * Full-time position * Candidate must have a quiet office space equipped with a reliable broadband Internet connection Please contact me offline of interested. |
