You say that  <http://localhost:8080/ortrack/command?type=ping>
http://localhost:8180/ortrack/command?type=ping comes up with a blank page.
This is not normal. Have you checked that there are no errors in orkweb.log?
orktrack needs to be up and running.

I'm sorry I should have told you that I can connect to tomcat and orkweb
login with no problems.

Neal,

 

You need to make sure that you can connect to the Tomcat port from the
outside, telnet is your friend :

 

# telnet server-hostname 8180

 

If this does not connect, you need to fix this first.

I put in http://localhost:8180/ortrack/command?type=ping
<http://localhost:8080/ortrack/command?type=ping>  that but it comes up with
a blank page, my tomcat5.5 as defaulted by ubuntu is listening on port 8180
instead of 8080 is that a problem?

I finally got orkaudio running and orktrack and orkweb with logs on info and
debug level and the ONLY error I get is from orkaudio.log that says "ERROR
reporting:116 - Could not contact orktrack" so as you might imagine I get
nothing listed in orkweb which makes my days and hours of work for nothing.
As I said I have the logs on debug and the best it can do is tell me it
can't contact orktrack? I have no reason why. Please can anyone tell me what
I need to do to fix it?
