Just for fun, an interface request for when you start on that again: the ability to take the status bar launcher icons, and make them into a floating tool widget (pref. with an always-on-top feature) that stays visible even when the main Bash window is hidden. Also, a "show Bash" icon in that toolbar. This would be extremely useful to me during development, because going back to my desktop to (re-)launch something is often a pain and it's just too much to pin it all to the Windows taskbar.
(Okay, more accurately, the painful part is getting my windows back into the Z-order I want after going back to the desktop. Annoyingly, the "Show Desktop" feature doesn't accurately preserve that. Probably a side effect of me using sliding mouse focus.)
