Is it possible -- through a user editable PLIST or other edit or modification to the NAPS2.app -- to allow Mail to be selectable as the email provider in NAPS2 even if it is not specified as the system default email reader? Or, to add Outlook.app (Legacy) as an option?

On a Mac with Outlook (Legacy) specified as default mail reader (in Mail), neither Outlook (Legacy) nor Mail is available in File > Email Settings > Provider > Change > Choose Email Provider. Mail is grayed out, with Gmail and Outlook Web Access enabled. Switching the default email provider back to Mail re-enables Mail as an option. If and until Outlook.app is made an available email provider in NAPS2, we would be happy to use Mail ONLY for NAPS2, but need to leave Outlook as the system default for use by other apps.

Thank you, Mike.
