Batch Features & Scanner Recognition

Hello,

I work for the US EPA and we have been searching for a scanning software to use in our relatively small administrative office. Your scanning software is so much better than everything else we have tested, even products from large companies charging several hundred dollars per license. So, we sincerely thank you!

There are a few features that would help us out a lot if you would consider implementing them:

1- Can batch scanning be a profile instead of a separate item? Would be awesome for our users if a profile can be set for batch scanning to streamline the process.

2- Can batch scanning allow for the use of the feeder/duplexer and the glass together within one profile? We tend to scan items that cannot be put in the feeder along with items that can.

3- Having an auto-rotate pages feature based on text direction would be a huge help.

4- Windows 11 has given us some trouble because it identifies the scanner as a different scanner after a power-cycle. For example, my scanner shows up as ‘fi-6240Z’ and then after a reboot it shows that scanner along with ‘fi-6240Z #2’ even though it is the same scanner. I’ve had a total of 4 instances of the same scanner show up in Windows Settings.
This creates a problem for NAPS2 because the profiles were set to the ‘fi-6240Z’ but now Windows has it registered as ‘fi-6240Z #2’. Every time I use NAPS2, I must go into the profile and Choose Device so that it updates or else it will not scan. Could NAPS2 be configured to just default to whatever scanner is connected to the computer? We never have more than one scanner connected to any computer, and we do not switch out scanners ever.
