Install Eclipse

• Download and install Eclipse (Kepler) http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/Kepler/SR2

Install SVN client

• Install a SVN client you want to use for Eclipse, like Subversive, to import the projects. Or use an extern SVN client as you wish.

Install Pure::Variants v3.2

• Download the pure::variants plugin
  • You will need a license to make full use of the tool http://www.pure-systems.com/pure_variants_Community.55.0.html
• Community Edition http://www.pure-systems.com/pvce-update/
  • Download the package with update site and all extensions.
  • If you want, you can use the evaluation edition as well but then your license will expire every month. http://www.pure-systems.com/pure_variants_Evaluation.42+M5f38cab6fd7.0.html
• Open Eclipse -> Help -> Install new Software
• Add the archive file you downloaded before and install all features.

Import MultViewEvaluation (MVE) plugin

• Import the plugin project svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/multiviewevalution/svn/ multiviewevalution-svn
• Browse the URL and choose a version and a trunk you want to work with.
• If there are any errors, check the Java version
  • Java Compiler (Properties) should be set to 1.7 if you have problems here.

Run Configuration

• Open Run -> Run Configurations
• Eclipse Application -> right click -> new
  • Main Tab
    1. Name the configuration as you like, maybe MVE-Plugin
    2. Choose as Execution environment: JavaSE – 1.7
  • Plug-ins Tab
    1. Launch with: “plug-ins selected below only”
    2. Make sure all packages “com.ps.*” are selected
    3. Press button: (Add Required Plug-ins)
    4. Then button (Validate Plug-ins) and (Apply)
• Now you can run your configuration.
