many bouncer do offer the simple function to change the
nickname if all bouncerclients have disconnected.
e.g. the nickname "user" becomes "user|away" or any
other string which has been defined by the user himself.
it has the strong advantage against simple awaymsgs
that anyone can see at first glance that the user is
offline.
if a user connects to the bouncer again then miau
should use the usual nickname as defined before again. ;)

I still think this feature is/should be frowned upon, but as
you're approximately gazillionth to request it, I suppose I
don't have a choice. Don't hold your breath yet though.
