Magnolia® 3.0 CE RC4 released

RC4 is closing the gap to the final release. More than 55 issues have been resolved since RC3, mainly centering around workflow and FCKEditor.

Improvements include the update to the latest FCKEditor, enhancements to the default workflow behavior based on OpenWFE, many bug fixes with respect to workflow functionality, GUI improvements, working deployment on Geronimo, import/export enhancements as well as many others. Magnolia welcomes Alex "the Mindstorm" as new committer

The Magnolia team welcomes Alex "the mindstorm" Popescu as a new committer. Alex has considerable Java experience and currently works on the new transactional, incremental activation mechanism for Magnolia, a mechanism to garantee the delivery of content to subscribers while minimizing the amount of data sent.

Magnolia 2.1.2 released

This is a minor update fixing some problems with the Jackrabbit repository on windows not releasing lock files. Unless you are on windows, there is no reason to upgrade to this version.

Magnolia 2.1.1 released

We now use the Berkeley DB as the default persistence
manager. Due to the use of Berkley DB instead of the
filesystem, performance has again improved significantly.
Activation errors are now displayed to the user if
activation fails. Templates can now be stored in a
hierarchy. Several minor bugs have been fixed.

* getting rid of the unnecessary creation of tmp files
* introducing compression setter for windows

Magnolia 2.1 RC2 - fresh download

We have rereleased RC2 with a small typo fix that was resulting in the public instance having unprotected access to adminCentral. If you have already downloaded RC2, you can fix the issue in config as well, no need to download again.

Magnolia: introducing nightly builds

Nightly builds of Magnolia have been set up at http://magnolia.sourceforge.net/nightly/

These builds are generated with the latest version of
jackrabbit repository, straight from svn. A basic initialization test is run. This can help in identifying problems related to compatibility with updated jcr implementations.
