alvarado: @CHG: The lti::channelStatistics functor now requires a typical channel8 mask instead of a matrix<bool> to indicate which pixels should be considered and which not. The reason is that the channel8 masks are much easier to produce than the matrix<bool> which are now deprecated (replaced by genericMatrix<bool>.
