Thanks for those words!!! Thanks you for shearing with all your knowledge and I hope we get to work further together!!! My whole experience with logilogi has been open-minding, and from the very beginning, and now so many more heads thinking together how to get a better LL, and specially in the UI, it all has been very enriching, and getting better... Dear Wybo and other LogiDevelopers, On behalf of the GIP-team, I would like to congratulate you with having come so far with LogiLogi already. >From the Digitale Pioniers website: "Per ronde [round] is ongeveer [approx] euro 125.000 beschikbaar om aan projecten toe te kennen. Gemiddeld [average] ontvangen gehonoreerde projecten euro 17.000." This leaves room for about 7 projects to be awared this (staggering) amount of money. For LogiLogi, this would certainly be the final push to create a sublime product from a wonderful idea. And, of course, even without the money, the system will thrive in today's web. Us from GIP are proud to have contributed to this project. Wybo, Bruno, and all others who have LogiLogi close to their heart, all the best! I just got a call from the Digitale Pioniers-project that our application for funding is now on the sortlist of 20 projects. This weekend we will have to prepare a 1.5 minutes video-message explaining what, how, and why we do it... This message will then be shown to the expert-panel that will then decide which projects will get their funding (after an intake-meeting). If you Bruno & Miguel, or someone else, also would like to send in a short (5-10 sec or so) snippet of video for inclusion, it would be great! Wybo |

Yes, I've been over there looking to talk some ideas... I'll also reply your mail. I'm moving again home here in Bs. As. Withought internet connection, Telefonica in Argentina sucks. I'd like to publish some ideas early to discuss them. I'm sorry I don't have the time I'd like to spend on LL... Also, congratz for OgOg later. Bruno, we saw you popping by on the list, but we just missed you (by a few minutes the last time)... --- The sense-removal is taking a bit longer, but progressing neatly. Also I decided to remove the tag-channels also, to get to a working first version quicker. Later on we can add channels again, or an alias-table. --- Now that we moved to html for the bodies of posts (thanks to the upcoming editor) it seems natural to have differently formatted link- clusers also. If looking quickly at it, it seems best to go for something that is a normal html-link if not parsed (by what is now the extended RedCloth parser). For editing this could be: <a link="/some/more/tags" link="http://www.logilogi.org/even/more=i20" ... href="/some/tags=i100">link-text</a> And towards the view: <a links="102,23" ... href="http://www.logilogi.org/some/tags=i100">link-text</a> Anyone ideas on this/a different proposal ? greetings, Wybo |

Hello, It took me quite some time but the logilinks plugin seems to be working now. Go to: http://gipdev.science.ru.nl/giplogi/tinymcetest/test.html and choose Edit. The [LL] button in the lower right corner of the TinyMCE editor gives you a list of LogiLogi-articles. Links to these articles can now be inserted. The list of links is obtained by using ajax but because the gipdev-server is a bit slow, I cached the file. However, it works fine uncached. I will try to integrate this into logilogi as soon as possible. Best regards, Allan |

Charles reported today on our freenode IRC channel that he has the C implementation of our diff algorithm (even an improved version) working. And it appears quite fast, 20 milli-secs for diffing 400 words... Keep up the good work! This evening I have been doing some sense-removal and other clean-ups. One of them is that elements, like menu's now no longer are found as page/elements/menu, but are another kind of tagging, besides secondary and primary. This makes resolving potentially much faster, as everything that's needed for the page could be found with one join-query... (with a 'where tagging.kind > secondary' - clause) Also it has nicer properties in that menu's are now linked to tags instead of to 'tag-sets' + da depth, via the now removed volatile_to_logi_with_all_tags/concepts_matching. Menu's and the like will be linkable through page<tilde>element-kind, like page~menu and page~news. greetings, Wybo PS: Charles if you want, you can try your diff with words as chunks instead of characters... |

I have almost removed the Senses from Manta, and I am working towards this in a separate branch (/branches/senseless/). I expect to have it done next week... Vienna was wonderfull, and I also discussed Manta with some Web2.0 hackers, and they liked it quite a bit... I will again be away for the weekend - this time with some friends -, but I'll be back on sunday-evening... greetings, Wybo PS: OgOg.org is slowly on getting a decent number of visitors... |

Hello, At http://gipdev.science.ru.nl/giplogi logis can now be edited using tinyMCE. The new type of storage for logis (based on an allowed subset of HTML tags) is not implemented yet but as HTML-tags aren't filtered now, they are still stored within the logi. I will now be working on the plugin for adding logi-links. - Allan |

I've updated the tests of both Manta and OgOg to recent Rails standards of no longer using Object.find(objects(:name).id), but objects(:name) to access fixture-objects... Also I've been thinking about optimalizing Manta, and the techniques used by Boolean search engines, on multi-keyword searches, might be interesting for Manta when we've removed senses... > > Feeds and users are browsable, and ranked now too... > > > Great. I've just committed an update to http://www.OgOg.org. Feeds and users are browsable, and ranked now too... Also the voting-power that a blogger would receive when he signs up is shown now... Besides all this I also added ads to OgOg.org, the revenue (if any) of which goes straight to the LogiLogi Foundation... Cordially, Wybo |
