Especially as we largely agree on what's to be in there... (apart from some minor things maybe, like tabs :) What I like is that you removed the power from the peergroup-selection and the matches here, as indeed this is no relevant info when browsing :) > You'll find two new proposals here. Hm, I only found one, also no layers in the file..? > The search/browsing. This are the two known approaches to knowledge > finding and I thought we should have them side by side. Also I started Love this, the tabs for searching and browsing! :) But maybe we can add Logi too, as there will be contenders too then and it seems reasonable to me to keep the query around when clicking into a logi. > questioning how we would handle (with the search on top right) when we > did a text search, what where we going to do with the tag search? I think this is a bit a weird approach, having the main menu in a drop-down. Also it might confuse users as they would not know where they are relative to other pages... I got a small suggestion for this further in this mail. > Also, while there is a lot of design, this is just a quick display of > the elements. Good, I like many things from this design, for example also the minus and plus signs behind the tags, for adding and removing them; well done, and real teamwork :) (I moved the minus-sign in the icons behind the tags a bit more to the center, and I removed them from the tags in the snippet as, from how I understand they are not meanth to be removed from there if I'm right. These are small fixes to the tag_browsing_draft.svg) Besides this in another file I've done some small re-arrangements and tweaks this morning, and committed it as UI_proposal_Tags3_Search_View in docs. The most important improvements / changes are that it is a bit more spacious, that the peergroup selector is now inside the line around the tag-browsing, that the textfield for manually adding tags is behind the tags, and suggested is a "two-stage tabs dashboard", really nifty :) I've not added any coloring yet, but made some differences with grayscales, much like in the tag_browsing_draft. And the UI_proposal_Tags3_Search_View is a draft too of course... But the designs are already becoming better :) Wybo > Have to go now, talk to all tomorrow.
