I like your last sketch most of all, and keeping in mind that it is still just a sketch a few minor remarks: - I really like the splitting up of the word LogiLogi across multiple lines. It makes the LL logo even more meaningfull. Maybe though it would be beautifull to complete this by adding .org/ in a simmilar oval just before the Information-bar. - I like the idea of being able to add tags by typing to the Requested url. But maybe we should call it requested tags, and leave the selection of languages, versions, etc. to the information-bar. - About the information-bar and the side-bars; the votes left, and voting-power maybe should be in a side-bar. For the side-bars I would propose: User Preference profile (Default\/) Interface elements (All\/) Preferred language (English\/) Context User group (Public\/) Peer group (Politics\/) Votes left (22) With power (1.0) Where the indentation means that they are below, or determined by the item above them (could/should instead of by indentation be expressed by an oval line around them or something). Also the ()'s are the ovals, and the \/ is the drop-down img you already use. As a side-note: the level of preferred interface elements will most likely be stored in the prefs-profile. - The ID # could be named Alternative #, to make clear that the user can pick differently here... - For the Edit links-tab; note that Manta will get a WYSIWYG-editor which will embedd link-only editing, so that will no longer need it's own tab. Other tabs are History and Printer Friendly To conclude I really like the style and your solutions in terms of reducing the complexity of the interface. I do wonder whether all these things can be accomplished with normal CSS ? (like the oval text-field in the requested-bar ?). greetings, Wybo PS: What do you two think about it Andrew and Ilona ? > It is great to be working with you all in the UI of LL.
