I was planning to utilize the Aliyun DirectMail connector for sending e-mail with my logto instance. However, the connector has the endpoint URL for the cn-hangzhou region hardcoded into it (dm.aliyuncs.com), which means that people who have a DirectMail instance in other Aliyun regions cannot use the connector.
(Note that since deploying Aliyun resouces in any mainland china region requires extra verification, it is highly likely that people will have their DirectMail instance in another region.)
It is currently possible to mitigate this problem by using the SMTP connector, as opposed to the Aliyun connector.
The Aliyun DirectMail connector should have the option to select between the other DirectMail regions;
ap-southeast-1 (dm.ap-southeast-1.aliyuncs.com)
ap-southeast-2 (dm.ap-southeast-2.aliyuncs.com)
so that people with a non-mainland China Aliyun account can utilize the DirectMail connector.

Hi @maamokun , thanks for posting this feature request with detailed context!
I would say this is a very solid reason that why we need to support multiple regions/ custom regions in Aliyun DM connector, and we will definitely add this to our roadmap.
For the time being, we don't have the resources to push this through in the near future; that said, if this is a feature that you desperately need, community contributions are always welcomed!
