Is it possible to add feature 'Vertical windows'? Probably, as general option of editor...
(with absolutely same behavior/keys as usual, 'horizontal windows' - ^k p, ^k n and so on)
Look at drawn example...
These days monitors mostly wide (16x9 and more), so it will very convenient to have vertical windows inside of one copy of joe editor.
An interesting addition could be another similar mode where the two viewports to the same file are automatically scrolled together: the second one always shows the file from where the first one left off.
This would effectively emulate a window of double height and half width.
It's unclear to me though whether it should rather be text editors or terminal emulators implementing this - both approaches have pros and cons.

Oh yes. I would love to have vertical windows like in vim, emacs and tmux. I rly miss this feature.

Hello, Joe!
How are you?
Is there are some news in 'joe' development, and and especially in this ticket?
Have a nice day!
