G'day all, I have a requirement for HA and failover. I was thinking this would be quite a useful feature to have in IPCop. basically have IPCop host a VIP and do some checking to see if the primary host is up and fail over if it not. Of course it does not have to be done in IPCop but it might be a could place to put it. I don't think the process's involved would be that intrusive a bit of heartbeat type code and a bit if iptable magic to move the data flows. What do others think? There used to be (I think) a road map for IPCop and I could be able to spend some time developing code at the moment. -- 'ooroo Stinga...(:)-) --------------------------------------------------- Email: st...@wo... o You need only two tools. o ///// A hammer and duct tape. Category: Translations Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Ville Skyttä (scop) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Numerous install.mo files missing Initial Comment: A bunch of /usr/share/locale/*/LC_MESSAGES dirs are missing install.mo files, probably those listed as no-installer in langs/list. This is a problem because setting the language from web GUI's GUI Settings -> Display apparently also affects not only the web UI but something (not the $LANG environment variable though) on the console too, which means is that if I select for example en_US as the language from the web UI, translations for the "setup" command's menu system are not available, and so it displays stuff like TR_SECTION_MENU etc (the translation keys instead of the values). This is with 2.0.6. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=428516&aid=3599435&group_id=40604 |

Hi Kasun I think that someone wrote a script to load a .pl file into the Language Database, for phrases written for IPCop v1.4, so I'm pretty sure that if you already have a .po file, it could be altered to work for v2.0. The script was on the original IPCop Wiki, but I may have a copy somewhere, if the old box still exists. I think your .po file would have to be in UTF-8 format, although I may be wrong. Hi Kasun Thanks for your offer of help in translating IPCop. I will send you a username and password for the Language Database in a separate email. Once you have them, you will be able to edit phrases in the Database here: http://www.ipcop.org/langs/index.php Click on the 'Edit' link beside Sinhala. That takes you to an 'Edit Page' where all the variables are listed. Some are for v1.4, and some are for v2. It does not matter in which order you do the work, you can jump around, and redit words later, as completed work sinks to the bottom of the page. Click on a 'Variable Name', like 'access' and put your translation in the 'Translation' field. Use the 'English Translation' text as your source, not the 'Variable Name' :) Click the 'Update' button when you are ready, and then return to the index for another phrase. There are lots of phrases now, so do them in small batches, or pick the common phrases from a menu, or a single page, and do them. Get help from friends :) Thanks again for your help. Good luck.
