GC's main menu is most easily opened by the dedicated menu key on my keyboard or the menu button in the toolbar (off-screen in the screenshots below)....

p. s. - My OP is incorrect, the three dots menu is refered to in https://sites.google.com/site/ghostcommander1/info#h.p_ID_829 as "action menu" rather than "action bar". Regardless, I think it should be always visible. - Alternatively, the actions Back up settings, Restore settings, Save log to file could also be provided as plain settings items, e. g. at the end of Miscellaneous or in a dedicated Backup/Restore section.

This might be an issue with the app getting killed. On a few rare occations, I've found the panels reset to some earlier state after doing something in other apps, then switching back to GC. Just guessing.

Was there some particular reason the action bar was off on your device? It's an legacy option for old devices with a small screen and dedicated menu button. I think these days it should be always enabled, unconditionally.

Cannot reproduce. The app remembers the last sorting mode correctly. Also, the settings have the sorting properties individually for each panel.

FFS! I used the settings transfer on the new phone to copy over contacts, call logs, texts, and network settings from my old phone. The phone auto-connected to the guest network instead of the private one /DOH! It's all working now. Close ticket RE:Operator Error 😳

I tried to use another phone with android 15 and had no issues. Can you please perform some tests? Install ConnectBot terminal app. Open a local session. Try to ping your windows machine. By name. By IP address. Try to check if the port 445 open on it, issue a command like: nc -zv 192.168.77.103 445

I'm using an OTG cable with a usb drive attached to transfer files onto it for now. I'm using the exact same settings I've been using on my mobile devices for years. You don't need the plugin anymore, the SMB functionality is embedded to the main app. I've just tried to access a windows shared folder from an android 15 and had no issues. Are you sure your phone does not have a firewall of some sort installed? Are you accessing your windows by its name or by IP address? Please double check your windows node is actually has the address 192.168.77.103 as on your screenshot. Did you try any other app on your MotoG to access the share?

I've added some additional abilities: * Multi-apk install could be done from any location (SFTP or from inside a ZIP). Same way, select the apk files, then tap the item "Install" in the context menu. * On the native file system only, a file which is in fact a ZIP (such as .xapk, .xlsx, etc), could be opened as such through the context menu "Open as ZIP". * On the native file system only, an .xapk or .apks could be installed through the context menu "Install". All inner APK files would be installed....

I've added an ability to create multiple apk files from a single application. To install them back select all the relevant files, then long tap to pop up the menu and choose "Install". That works on the local native filesystem only. Since I don't have an XAPK file and I don't know where I can get one, I cannot support it. Guess, if XAPK is a just a zip (I don't have a proof or a disproof for that), the user could potentially create it manually from the exported apk files. Please give a try: http...

On the latest versions of android , apps notifications are turned off by default. Either go to from home screen , long tap on the GC icon, then App info/notifications or from GC's Settings/Misc/App notifications.

I'm using Android 15 (latest graphene os). I've tried to reproduce it, but i couldn't, maybe it was updated somewhat? So last time when I enabled it, the app wasn'T started again, but since then there was at least 3 updates from fdroid. So now if i enable it it does not fail, BUT it does not do the filteransfers in a foreground service either, so thats a bug for sure. (I've tried to copy a huge folder, put the app to the background but there was no notification showing up about the progress.)
