I tried using the makefile to build drivers for my
Realtek Fastethernet adapter (8139C) and got all
sorts of include errors .....

I am running Redhat 7.1

The easiest method to build 8139too driver is to copy the
8139too.c file into an existing kernel source tree, in
linux/drivers/net, overwriting whatever version is currently
present. Then, rebuild your kernel with the updated module.
